Picture Finishing.

flyer01-200×259.jpgAudio post is usually one of the last things to get done in film and television. Because of this, we are often asked about where to get picture finishing services. In Los Angeles there area many of the big houses for these services but often they will put an intern or assistant on the smaller jobs but still charge the same big guys rate. So we were happy to hear that a former client of ours, Jesse Lawler has teamed up with his partner Chris Aronoff to open a finishing suite for independent film makers. Check them out if you need finishing services, they’re called Antibody Films.

Red Dog Diary.

We’ve been working, for some time, on a documentary of our last studio dog, Raja’s fight with bone cancer. Today the teaser is posted You can learn more about the documentary at the official site: Red Dog Diary. Here’s the trailer: On June 30th, 2005 our 8 year old Golden Retriever, Raja, was diagnosed with osteosarcoma or bone cancer. Over the next 8 months, we documented the fight for his life. This documentary is a tribute to our courageuos Raja and an effort to help others understand this horrible disease.

101 Uses For Chicken.

chicken1.jpgIt’s been busy here at the studio but one of the different things we’ve been doing is creating some sound design for a horror movie and finding different ways to make really disgusting slimy, gooey, crunchy, horrible sounds. Chicken. You can make A LOT of really gross sounds with raw chicken. These sessions are a food handlers nightmare…we’d definitely be getting an F from the department of health. As a precaution we’ve got a tarp and towels everywhere but it’s still pretty disgusting stuff. Can’t wait until we put it all together! Needless to say we won’t be taking any of this mutilated chicken to a BBQ this long weekend.
