New.

It was a busy week here at Grind. We kicked off the week with sound design and mix for a pilot from writer / director Randall Bobbitt.  Michelle completed sound design and the mix for Mummies: Secrets of the Pharaohs: Unwrapped, a behind the scenes doc of the Imax movie. Director Keith Melton swung by for the mix and editorial services were provided by  Joe VanDalsem & Robert Howie over at Paradise FX. We’re also putting together a video presentation for the Shamrock Fund benefit for the Golden Retriever Club of Greater Los Angeles Rescue.

Move and other stuff…

2007 got off to a strange start for us but it’s a year full of change, lots of interesting changes. We lost our lease for the Burbank studio in January, which lead to a lot of scrambing to find new space. new mix room 1 After much construction, we’ve finally got the new space up and running. And running well it is. We’re now in Valley Village, which is centrally located in the valley, just north of Studio City. The new mix room sounds great and a mix for director Elgin James’ short film “Goodnight Moon” launched the new studio. Also in recently, was the return of director / producer Tamika Miller with a new project and producer Brian Alexander for a mix of Fuel TV’s Firsthand “Travis Pastrana” episode.
